Volunteer at HPES Clinic
Every 3rd Saturday of the Month/ U-City Library on Delmar Loop
Health Protection & Education Services (HPES) Clinic is a provides healthcare access in a nontraditional setting. Volunteer doctors, nurses, dentists and professional health care providers offer free health screening services on the third Saturday of the month at the University City Library.

Bullying impacts the health and academic success of children, and is a major cause of suicide in teens. Come and learn how clinical signs of bullying manifest in children. Meet MO State Senator Jamilah Nasheed and AJ Bockleman (PROMO) who will share about their new anti-bullying initiative this year. Be a part of the Anti-bullying movement in Missouri through advocacy and policy-making.

AMA Interim Meeting

Self-Empowerment Against Diabetes
2013-14 AMA "Event of the Month" Winner
St. Louis University School of Medicine won for their “Health Eating & Diabetes Support Group” event in which they partnered with Washington Tabernacle Baptist Church to create a support group for individuals and families living with diabetes. The support group sessions are held twice per month from October through June, and include education workshops with lectures by St. Louis University physicians and cooking demonstrations led by dietetic interns.

Benefiting the Children's Miracle Network, which supports Cardinal Glennon and St. Louis Children's Hospital. Hosted by both WashU and SLU AMA chapters. Featuring trivia night, prizes, drink specials, Russian food, and s'mores!

AMA x SPOTS: Miles Against Melanoma 5K Marathon

One person dies every 57 minutes of melanoma. It is a seemingly underexposed disease that needs more awareness. Come participate and volunteer for the 5th annual MAM event to support those who have been affected by melanoma, and to spread skin cancer awareness in our community.
In collaboration with the SLU Sun Protection Outreach Teaching by Students (SPOTS).
